The sun will be on its way down once you exit the Museum and, after a short refreshment break, make your way to the Acropolis, entering through the south slope. Your knowledgeable guide will unveil the rich tapestry of history and mythology that envelops the numerous monuments you encounter along your route, including the Dionysus Theater, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Asclepius Sanctuary, the Temple of Athena Nike and, of course, the Parthenon! Among others, you will get to hear about the origins of theater, the power play between two gods over the protection of the city of Athens, as well as the ancient hospitals and their curiously procured remedies.
